Hi 👋 It’s Khánh/Kevin here,
Most UI/UX designers started their career from a visual-based job, but in my case, I started mine from “designing” words instead. Would it makes me a less competence designer? It could be. But I asked myself that question right when I jumped to design career and it makes me aware of both important things: which transferable skills I already gained from my past career, and which skills I need to improve as a UI/UX designer. I might not a designer for visual-heavy role, but I certain more competence with the other roles which needs those softer skills.
In a nutshell, I am a UI/UX designer with 3+ years of experience a considerable Marketing & Advertising background. Although my past strength lies on copywriting & content writing, I have developed my sense of visual after all those years of working with social media contents that heavily depends on visual ideas & the cooperation with designers.
After learning UI + UX disciplines at Nordic Coder school and self-practicing, I find my passion in creating interfaces with reasonable spacing, layouts, color harmony and optimized user experience. Besides, I am equipped with the mindset of commercial, digital marketing that would be a plus to a Product Design process of a team.
As a human, I love aesthetic things such as photography, architecture, nature, movies and whatnots. While being an INFJ, I’d love to collaborate with other designers when needed since collaboration usually makes the best works!
